FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with BuyChemCN -- from factory visits to custom production.

Factory Visit

工厂参观 · On-site inspection arrangements

Can I visit the partner factories before placing an order?
Yes. BuyChemCN supports and encourages on-site factory visits. All of our partner factories have passed our initial on-site audit. You can contact us to schedule a visit at any time -- we will coordinate with the factory and arrange the itinerary, including production line tours, quality control walkthroughs, and meetings with factory management.
How long does it take to arrange a factory visit?
Typically 3-5 business days from your request. We will confirm the factory's availability, prepare necessary documentation, and send you a detailed visit agenda. For overseas customers, we can also assist with travel logistics recommendations.
Is there any cost associated with the factory visit?
BuyChemCN does not charge any coordination fees for factory visits. Travel and accommodation costs are borne by the visiting party. The factory visit itself is completely free of charge as part of our commitment to supply chain transparency.
What should I prepare before visiting a factory?
We recommend preparing a list of your key product specifications and quality requirements, any relevant certifications you need the factory to hold (e.g. GMP, ISO, REACH), and your estimated annual purchase volume. Sharing this information in advance helps the factory prepare the most relevant demonstrations for your visit.

Third-party Inspection

三方质检 · Independent quality verification

Does BuyChemCN support third-party quality inspections?
Absolutely. We fully support and welcome third-party inspections. Customers may engage accredited inspection agencies such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, or any other qualified body of their choice. BuyChemCN will coordinate with the factory to provide full access and cooperation during the inspection process.
At what stage can third-party inspection be arranged?
Inspection can be arranged at multiple stages: (1) Pre-shipment inspection -- after production is complete but before goods leave the factory; (2) During-production inspection -- to monitor production progress and quality mid-process; (3) Factory audit -- a comprehensive evaluation of the factory's quality management system and production capabilities.
Who bears the cost of third-party inspection?
Third-party inspection fees are typically borne by the customer who commissions the inspection. However, BuyChemCN provides free coordination services -- we handle all communication with the factory and the inspection agency on your behalf at no extra charge.
What happens if the inspection reveals quality issues?
If quality issues are identified, BuyChemCN will immediately intervene as an intermediary. Depending on the severity, the factory will be required to rework, replace, or refund the affected goods. Our tripartite contract clearly defines quality standards and liability, ensuring your interests are protected.

Custom Production

定制生产 · Tailored manufacturing solutions

Can factories produce according to my custom specifications?
Yes. Custom production is one of BuyChemCN's core services. Whether you need a specific purity grade, particle size, packaging format, or proprietary formulation, we will match you with the factory best equipped to meet your technical requirements. Simply provide your product specification sheet (COA, SDS, or technical brief) and we will begin the matching process.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom orders?
MOQ varies by product category and factory. One of our key advantages is negotiating lower MOQs on behalf of customers -- many factories set high MOQs for direct buyers but are flexible for platform-consolidated orders. Contact us with your requirements and we will work to find a solution that fits your volume.
How does the sample process work for custom products?
After confirming your specifications, the factory will produce a sample batch. We ship the sample to you for testing and approval. Standard lead time for samples is 7-15 business days depending on complexity. Sample costs may apply for highly customized products, but these are typically credited back against your first bulk order.
How is quality consistency maintained across multiple production runs?
Your approved sample becomes the official quality benchmark (golden sample) referenced in the tripartite contract. For each subsequent production run, the factory must provide a batch COA and we conduct random batch sampling. Any deviation from the agreed specification triggers our quality escalation process before shipment is authorized.
Can I keep my formulation confidential?
Yes. We take IP protection seriously. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) can be signed before any technical information is shared. The factory will also sign a confidentiality agreement as part of the tripartite contract. We recommend discussing NDA terms with us before submitting proprietary formulation details.
